September 27, 2024: As part of National Diaper Need Awareness Week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced new funding for its Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot. The Wisconsin Community Action Program Association (WISCAP) has been awarded $1.2 million to help families access diapers and related support services.

Extreme heat safety is crucial as summer temperatures soar to dangerous levels. To prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, seek shade or air-conditioned spaces, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak sun hours (typically 10 AM to 4 PM).
