More than 40 local business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders gathered this week for the ADVOCAP Community Leaders Luncheon in Oshkosh, creating an opportunity for intentional connections and conversation about local challenges and opportunities across Winnebago County.
Presented by Old National Bank, the luncheon created space for conversation among local business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders about the work being done to support individuals and families throughout Oshkosh and the county as a whole. Attendees learned how ADVOCAP’s Community Action programs support individuals and families through services that promote stability, opportunity, and pathways toward self-sufficiency.
During the event, ADVOCAP leadership shared how the organization works alongside residents, businesses, and local partners to address needs across the region — from housing stability and workforce development to early childhood education, nutrition access, and support for older adults. Guests also learned more about Old National Bank’s commitment to strengthening communities through local investment and partnership. That commitment was recently recognized nationally when Old National Bank was named to The Civic 50 by Points of Light, honoring the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States.
One highlight of the luncheon was the opportunity for guests to experience a meal similar to those provided through ADVOCAP’s Senior Nutrition Program. The meal, generously donated by Catering Partner Cuisines (formerly Canteen), offered attendees a closer look at how ADVOCAP helps support older adults through nutritious meals and connections that promote independence and overall health.
The event concluded with a ribbon cutting in partnership with the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, celebrating ADVOCAP’s 60 years of Community Action and six decades of working alongside local partners to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency.
ADVOCAP extends its appreciation to everyone who helped make the luncheon possible, including Presenting Sponsor Old National Bank, Chamber Partner Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, Catering Partner Cuisine, Catalyzt Events & Experience Stylist Maggie Mae, and the staff of the J.P. Coughlin Center for hosting the event.
As ADVOCAP celebrates 60 years of Community Action, gatherings like this energize our work, showing that lasting impact is created through partnership and collective action.
