ADVOCAP recently hosted a Community Resource Fair at our Fond du Lac office, bringing together nearly 20 community partners to connect individuals, youth, and families experiencing homelessness or financial hardship with resources and support.
Nearly 50 community members attended the event and connected with services through one-on-one conversations with local organizations. By bringing a variety of providers together in one location, the Resource Fair helped make it easier for participants to access information and learn about programs available in the community.
We are grateful to the community partners who participated and shared their time and resources to help connect our neighbors with services best fit to their individual needs.
A special thank you to Centerpoint Church for donating lunch and comfort kits for participants, and to the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes for providing refreshments throughout the morning. We also want to recognize the ADVOCAP staff who made the Resource Fair such a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone.
The fair was a collaboration between many people and partners, and reflects the heart of Community Action — working together to connect people with resources and build stronger, self-sufficient communities.
