Recognition highlights 60 years of partnership, community action, and local impact
ADVOCAP is honored to be named a recipient of the Eden-Schneider Award from Envision Greater Fond du Lac, an award that recognizes organizations bringing people together to create collaboration and impact in the Fond du Lac community.
This recognition comes at a meaningful time, as ADVOCAP celebrates 60 years of local Community Action. Since 1966, partnership has been at the center of what we do —not just as an approach, but as a belief that real change happens when communities work together.
Collaboration at the Heart of Community Action
The Eden-Schneider Award highlights the power of collaboration across nonprofits, businesses, local government, and community members. That kind of partnership is essential when addressing challenges like poverty, which rarely have a single cause or a simple solution.
At ADVOCAP, this principle shows up every day through relationships with local partners and through programs that help individuals and families navigate barriers, build stability, and move forward. Because when organizations work together, communities are better equipped to:
- connect people to the resources they need
- support long-term stability for families
- strengthen local systems
- build strong, healthy, connected communities
Marking 60 Years of Community Action
For six decades, ADVOCAP has worked alongside the Fond du Lac community to address immediate needs while also focusing on long-term solutions. This milestone is a chance to reflect on that shared progress and to recognize the partnerships that make it possible.
The Eden-Schneider Award is a reminder that this work has always been collective. It’s built on collaboration and a shared commitment to improving opportunities for our neighbors.
Recognizing the People Behind the Work
This recognition belongs to the people who make the work possible every day. ADVOCAP staff continue to show up with dedication to participants and a deep commitment to collaboration. Their ability to build strong relationships—with both community members and partner organizations—keeps that collaborative spirit at the center of everything they do.
The organization’s Board of Directors also plays an important role, providing guidance and leadership that helps strengthen local systems and expand opportunities across the region.
Grateful for Community Partnerships
ADVOCAP extends sincere thanks to the Destination Lake Winnebago Region Visitors Bureau for sponsoring the Eden-Schneider Award, and to Envision Greater Fond du Lac for this recognition. We also extend our thank you to all of our service partners, without whom we could not reach the number of people and families that we do. This is shared work and a shared recognition.
It’s an honor to be recognized alongside other organizations and leaders working to build strong communities throughout Fond du Lac County.
Moving Forward Together
As ADVOCAP looks ahead, this recognition reinforces a core belief that has guided the organization for 60 years: real change happens when people work together.
By continuing to invest in partnerships and shared solutions, we can build stronger families, stronger neighborhoods, and a stronger Fond du Lac.
