A safe, healthy home is the foundation for family and community stability. Thanks to support from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Foundation, ADVOCAP recently rehabilitated a single-family home in Oshkosh, strengthening the long-term stability of the property and neighborhood.

On October 12, ADVOCAP joined other housing organizations at a WHEDA Foundation event in Oshkosh recognizing local recipients of the 2025 Housing Grant Program. The event highlighted investments that strengthen housing stability throughout Winnebago County and emphasized the impact these resources can have for individuals and families.

This impact is apparent in the work done by ADVOCAP and partners at the Oshkosh property. As part of this grant, ADVOCAP received $27,794 to rehabilitate a four-bedroom home, supporting essential work to restore the property to a safe, habitable condition through lead-safe renovation activities and drainage improvements. This included siding replacement, replacement windows and exterior doors, roofing and fascia repairs, and tree removal. The work funded through the WHEDA grant was completed in June 2026.

The WHEDA Foundation’s Housing Grant Program provides capital funding to develop and improve housing and shelters for Wisconsin’s most vulnerable residents. Since its inception, the WHEDA Foundation has awarded nearly $35 million for capital improvements to emergency and transitional housing facilities.

ADVOCAP is grateful to WHEDA for its investment in local housing stability and to the contractors, suppliers and partners who supported this important project.
