Opportunity Center Supervisor (Fond du Lac)

ADVOCAP is seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of people struggling with poverty, homelessness, and other barriers to self-sufficiency. The Center Supervisor will have Center management oversight of the Opportunity Center, which includes procedures, workflow, and outcomes. This position will provide voluntary, direct services and advocacy needed to ensure Center visitors have access to resources to meet basic needs and opportunities to achieve self-sufficiency. The Center Supervisor will be mission-directed in coaching participants along their journey to greater self-sufficiency. This position will have a caseload of participants and will also supervise a team with responsibilities that help stabilize individuals and families, especially in housing and employment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain an inviting, non-judgmental, and respectful Center environment and services
  • Provide cohesive, less-stress participant services
  • Guide, coach, and engage participants on their journey toward their self-sufficiency goals.
  • Document individual needs, action plans, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
  • Identify gaps in community services and contribute to finding solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant progress and prepare internal and external reports.
  • Build trusting, confidential relationships with individuals, other ADVOCAP programs, and community organizations.
  • Maintain real-time knowledge by keeping up to date on community resources and referral processes.
  • Track and document program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Deliver services and maintain behavior and character consistent with ADVOCAP Corporate Values.
Job Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in the human services field, plus at least 3 years of case management experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Possess an understanding of poverty and the ability to be non-judgmental with those served
  • Ability to develop positive, growth-directed relationships with individuals and families in poverty
  • Knowledge of and experience in connecting people in need with community resources that can help them
  • Ability to lead a team and develop staff abilities and skills
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures for the Center
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance and professional work ethic
  • Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check require
Salary and Benefits

This full-time position will work 36 hours per week with core hours consistent with the Center’s hours of operation. The entry/starting wage for this position is $24.19 per hour, negotiable based on experience. This position will have access to health, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
