ADVOCAP’s Volunteer Services program is accepting applications for a Volunteer Development Specialist for our Oshkosh office. Our Volunteer Services program is in Fond du Lac, Green Lake, and Winnebago counties. We are seeking an individual who will place and support volunteers aged 55+ in various nonprofit agencies that address the unmet needs in the community. This position will provide a high-quality experience that enriches the lives of the volunteers.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop relationships with volunteers and stations and document contacts to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Provide recognition for volunteers, including but not limited to sending birthday, anniversary, and thank you cards.
- Plan recognition events.
- Coordinate and manage volunteer placements.
- Complete and maintain volunteers and station paperwork to ensure funding source compliance.
- Collect and document volunteer hours.
- Process volunteer stipends and/or mileage reimbursement requests.
- Complete reports for ADVOCAP and other funding sources as needed.
- Attend appropriate training sessions to increase knowledge of volunteer management.
- Attend and/or plan in-service and advisory meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school degree or GED or 12-18 months of previous work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required.
- Ability to input and retrieve data from databases for reporting
- MS Office experience is preferred.
- Marketing, public speaking, and recruiting experience is preferred.
- Travel occasionally using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
- Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check required.
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
SALARY & BENEFITS
This part-time position will work 15 – 20 hours per week, 4 days per week between Monday and Friday. The entry/starting wage for this position is $22.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience. This part-time position will have access vacation, sick, and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
