Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive Returns February 22

February 18, 2026

From February 22 through March 15, 2026, The Family Radio Network’s annual Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive returns to communities across Wisconsin, including, locally, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and the Fox Cities. The drive collects hygiene and cleaning supplies for crisis and service agencies (including ADVOCAP) to help meet everyday needs in our communities. All donated items and financial contributions remain in the local communities where they are collected, with the goal of providing each participating agency with up to a year’s supply of essential products.

Now in its 34th year, the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive has distributed more than $6.7 million worth of hygiene and cleaning supplies to 137 crisis programs across 22 Wisconsin communities. In 2025, more than 1,000 businesses, churches, and schools helped collect over $720,000 in supplies for local programs.

Increasing access to basic supplies

Basic items like soap, deodorant, diapers, and toilet paper aren’t covered by Wisconsin FoodShare (SNAP), but they’re essential for dignity and daily health. Having access to these items can reduce stress for families and help stretch limited household budgets, creating greater resources for rent, utilities, transportation, and other essentials.

Support for local services at ADVOCAP

ADVOCAP is a participating agency and receives hygiene and cleaning supplies through the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive in Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and the Fox Cities. Donations collected locally stay in the community and help ensure individuals and families in our service area can access everyday essentials when they need them.

How you can help

Donate supplies: Purchase new, unused hygiene and cleaning items and drop them off at collection boxes located at participating Festival Foods and Walgreens stores (typically near store entrances or checkout areas). Most needed items include:

  • Laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, shower gel, and 2-in-1 shampoo
  • Trash bags
  • Diapers (sizes 3–6 and Pull-Ups)
  • Unscented deodorant
  • Wet wipes
  • Toilet paper and paper towels
  • Disposable razors
  • Tampons and maxi pads

Make a financial gift: Financial donations help purchase hygiene supplies through local retailers. One hundred percent of each donation (minus bank fees) stays in the community closest to the address used when donating. Donations can be made securely online through The Family Radio Network or by check payable to “The Family” with “Help for the Homeless” in the memo line.

Thank you for supporting the drive!

We’re grateful to The Family Radio Network and to everyone in our community who supports the Hygiene Drive each year. Everyday items may seem small, but they can ease some of the pressure families face when working toward stability.
