ADVOCAP Breaks Ground on Childcare Incubator in Oshkosh

December 11, 2025

ADVOCAP and project partners recently marked an exciting milestone in the development of our new Childcare Incubator in Oshkosh — an important step forward in a project designed to expand access to childcare while supporting local entrepreneurs and strengthening the workforce.

On December 11, ADVOCAP, along with Signature Homes by Adashun Jones Real Estate, and Adashun Jones Real Estate, gathered to mark the beginning of the construction of the building. This milestone reflects years of planning and collaboration with community partners.

The Childcare Incubator will create a pathway for new childcare providers to open and grow programs that meet local needs. By offering dedicated space, structured guidance, and early-stage support for emerging providers, the incubator aims to expand access to quality childcare across Oshkosh and the surrounding communities.

“The shortage of childcare in Winnebago County is reaching a critical point, affecting both families and local businesses,” said Tanya Marcoe, ADVOCAP Executive Director. “By creating a supportive environment for providers to launch and thrive, we are investing in families, the workforce, and the long-term health of our community.”

The Childcare Incubator is expected to be completed in 2026 and will serve as a support for aspiring childcare entrepreneurs while helping to increase the availability of childcare options for families in the Oshkosh area.

ADVOCAP will continue sharing updates as the project progresses. Follow ADVOCAP on social media and check back on our blog for ongoing updates, milestones, and opportunities to engage with the Childcare Incubator as it takes shape.
