ADVOCAP is honored to be the recipient of the 2025 Downtown Legacy Award from the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership.
The Downtown Legacy Award is presented annually to an organization that has been located in Downtown Fond du Lac for 50 years or more and has demonstrated strength in innovation, resiliency, business performance, and contributions to the community. We are grateful to be recognized alongside so many organizations that help make downtown Fond du Lac a strong and connected community.
Established in 1966, ADVOCAP has been part of Fond du Lac for nearly six decades. As a Community Action Agency, our mission has remained centered on working with individuals and communities to create opportunities for stability and self-sufficiency. While programs and services have grown and changed over the years, the focus on helping people build stability and opportunity has remained the same.
Being located in the heart of downtown has allowed ADVOCAP to stay closely connected to our neighbors, local businesses, and community partners. Because Downtown Legacy Award recipients are selected in part through community submissions, this recognition is especially meaningful. We are thankful to the individuals and organizations who took the time to nominate ADVOCAP and share their support for our work.
We would also like to thank the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership for this recognition, and our staff, volunteers, partners, and community members whose support and collaboration have helped strengthen our community over the past 60 years.
