ADVOCAP Expands Access to Mental Health Services Through Local Partnerships

December 15, 2025

ADVOCAP is proud to announce a new partnership with Collaborative Wellness to expand access to mental health care for residents in Fond du Lac and the surrounding community.

Through this collaboration, licensed therapists from Collaborative Wellness are now offering confidential, in-person counseling sessions at ADVOCAP’s Fond du Lac office, located at 19 W. 1st Street. Virtual appointments may also be available, providing additional flexibility for individuals and families seeking support.

This partnership was developed in direct response to community needs, including findings from ADVOCAP’s 2025 Community Needs Assessment, which identified access to mental health care as one of our tri-county region’s top unmet needs. By bringing therapy services into ADVOCAP’s space, the goal is to reduce barriers and make care more accessible to those who need it most.

All participating therapists accept Medicaid, along with a variety of other insurance plans. Services include individual, couples, and family therapy, with a trauma-informed and person-centered approach designed to meet people where they are.

Therapists manage their own schedules, and clients are encouraged to contact therapists directly to schedule appointments.

“Every day, our staff see how mental health affects housing stability, employment, and family wellbeing,” says Becky Heldt, Homeless Prevention Director at ADVOCAP. “This partnership helps reduce barriers to care for the people and families we support, bringing critical services right into our community.”
