ADVOCAP’s Weatherization Department is accepting applications for a full time Field Technician. This position installs weatherization materials in homes and directs daily activities of onsite co-workers. This position is responsible for recording activities and data entry of work
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Direct the daily activities of assigned Weatherization Specialist.
- Provide support and on the job training for Weatherization Specialist.
- Coordinate with Energy Auditor and QA Inspector customer education and job site supervision.
- Delivery of weatherization services includes use of effective and efficient work practices.
- Proficiency in the use of building science equipment and technology.
- Use proper health and safety work practices.
- Follow guidance listed in Weatherization Field Guide.
- Recognize and address missed opportunities on work orders.
- Limit call-back corrections.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 12 – 18 months of previous work-related experience required
- State of WI DI DHS Asbestos and Lead Safe Work certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Work under such conditions as confined spaces, strong and unpleasant odors, exposure to dust, toxic substances and/or chemical irritants (within legal exposure limits), extreme heat or cold
- Work at a height of 15 to 20 feet above the ground
- Infrequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Climb in, out, and up to assigned vehicles and equipment
- A valid driver’s license that has been held for 3+ years and an acceptable driving record to our insurance carrier, required to use an Agency vehicle.
- Acceptable drug screen, physical, and comprehensive background check required
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality with information obtained
- Possess an understanding of poverty and the ability to be non-judgmental with those served
SALARY & BENEFITS
36-hour full-time work week position with a starting pay of $21.50/hour based on qualifications. This full-time position will have access to health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
