As temperatures begin to drop, keeping homes warm becomes a priority for many Wisconsin families. Starting today, October 1, the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) is once again available to help eligible households manage their heating and electric bills throughout the colder months.
WHEAP provides crucial support to income-eligible households, offering one-time payments to help ease the burden of energy costs. These benefits can make a meaningful difference for families facing tough choices between heating their homes and covering other essentials.
Residents of Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties can apply for WHEAP through Energy Services, Inc. Residents of Green Lake County can apply directly through ADVOCAP by calling (920) 426-0150 or emailing wheap@advocap.org.
