Homeless Prevention Director – Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Winnebago Counties – FT

ADVOCAP, Inc is an established, recognized leader with over 50 years of experience in delivering effective anti-poverty and self-sufficiency programs and services. We are a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency committed to our mission of “creating opportunities for people and communities to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency.”

We are seeking an individual to join our team as our new Homeless Prevention Director. This position will serve all three counties in ADVOCAP’s service area: Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Winnebago counties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote awareness, self-sufficiency, innovation, advocacy, and community engagement to effectively address the needs and concerns of homeless individuals and families and those vulnerable to homelessness
  • Establish and maintain strong community relationships and collaboration
  • Responsible for successful completion of grant applications, timely reporting, and compliant grants management
  • Ensure staff relationships are consistent with Agency values by hiring, on-boarding, training, and evaluating staff and holding them accountable for results
  • Receive and respectfully respond to complaints from program participants
  • Review and analyze financial reports for the department and manage resources within Agency and funding source policies and procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 5 years documented experience in leadership role in the development and management of human services programs, budgets and staff
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and experience can be acquired
  • Demonstrated team leadership, program management, community planning, program development, grant writing, supervision and social services experience required
  • Understanding of the causes and conditions of and potential solutions to poverty
  • Strategic thinker with good planning and goal-setting skills
  • Ability to commit to ADVOCAP Corporate Values
  • Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check.
SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary in the $65,000+ annual range. ADVOCAP has an excellent benefit package. This full-time position will have access to health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer-contribution 401k.
