Providing weatherization services to reduce energy costs for low-income households and to conserve energy for our community.

Why Weatherize?
ADVOCAP's weatherization services help to reduce energy costs and conserve energy. Program participants may save money through reduced energy and heat consumption.  Homes are made warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, thanks to weatherization services.

Eligibility
Both renters and homeowners may be eligible for this program.  Persons living in a house, mobile home, duplex, or apartment building, may qualify for weatherization services.  Those who received help with utility bills during the last year from the Wisconsin  Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP), are automatically eligible for weatherization services.

Households with income which does not exceed 150% of the current federal poverty income levels may also be eligible for weatherization services.  Households with at least one resident receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) may also be eligible for weatherization services.  Contact ADVOCAP for current eligibility guidelines.

Weatherization services are offered at no cost to qualifying homeowners.  Services offered to renters may require a 25% contribution from the property owner.

Households with income levels between 150% and 200% of Federal Poverty Income Levels, may also be eligible for weatherization services under our targeted home program.  Some owner cost sharing of this benefit may be applicible.

Proof of home ownership, or landlord's name, address, and phone number is required when applying for weatherization services.  For more information about eligibility for the weatherization program please contact:
